Jessamyn Fry - cello -
Jessamyn Fry is a dynamic cellist based in New York City, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a tenured member of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and recently served as Interim Principal Cello of the Louisville Orchestra for the 2023-24 season. She has also performed with the Omaha Symphony and Symphony in C, among others. As a soloist, Jessamyn has appeared with the Louisville Orchestra performing ‘River Cam’ by Eric Whitacre under the composer’s direction, and with the National Repertory Orchestra in Bloch’s ‘Schelomo’. She was featured at the Breckenridge International Festival of the Arts in Niloufar Nourbakhsh’s ‘Veiled’. A dedicated chamber musician, she was a winner in the 2024 Lillian Fuchs Chamber Competition and a finalist in the 2023 Ruth Widder String Quartet Competition. Jessamyn holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music ‘24, and the Cleveland Institute of Music ‘21.
