Violinist Alexi Whitsel has been featured at such festivals as the Castleman Quartet Program, New York String Orchestra Seminar, and LyricaBoston. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Indiana University, where he studied with Dallas Symphony concertmaster Alexander Kerr. Other influential coaches have included soloist Charles Castleman and Takács Quartet founding member Károly Schranz. As an educator, Alexi maintains a private studio in Boulder, Colorado.  He plays in the Boulder Philharmonic, Boulder Symphony, and Boulder Chamber Orchestra. This year, he performed recitals in Aspen, CO and Boulder, CO.  He plays a 1910 Heberlein.
